Britain's Prince William says his mother Diana, was "failed" by leaders at the BBC.

It's after an investigation found a journalist used "deceitful behaviour" to get the Panorama interview with her.

Martin Bashir and the corporation have apologised after it was found he produced fake bank statements and showed them to her brother.

Prince William says he believes it holds "no legitimacy" and "should never be aired again".

The heir to the British throne said it brings him "indescribable sadness to know the BBC's failures contributed significantly to [Diana's] fear, paranoia and isolation".
