Needless to say, people are panic buying, big time!

We're all bracing ourselves for the arrival of what's known as 'The Beast from the East' today, as a cold snap as well as plenty of snow are expected.

There's currently an Orange weather warning for snow and ice in place for a number of counties along the east coast, with a yellow warning in place for other counties in the South Eastern areas.

Ahead of the unsettled weather, people have been buying as much of the basics as they can, including bread and milk.

It's led to sliced pans being resold online for above face value, like this one in Cavan:

It's described as "Top of the range bread, can't find anywhere in Ireland. You won't get a better offer buy today and receive a free (yes free) 1 litre bottle of milk"

However, you're also being warned that it does not come with Tayto.

Today's weather warnings are due to come into effect from three o'clock this afternoon, lasting until 11am tomorrow (Wednesday 28th February).

However we could be in for blizzard-like conditions on Thursday, as Storm Emma takes hold.
