Gardai are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body in Ranelagh.
A 22 year old man was found unresponsive with a head injury outside the Luas stop on Ranelagh Road at around 4:40am.
He was taken to St James' Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination, and Gardai will examine local CCTV and the post-mortem results before determining the course of the Garda investigation.
