Ana Kriegel was murdered in May 2018
An alleged assault of one of Ana Kriegel's killers at Oberstown Detention Centre is being investigated.
In November, BOY A was found guilty of murdering Ana Kriegel at a derelict farmhouse in Lucan, Co. Dublin in May 2018.
He was also found guilty of aggravated sexual assault and handed a life sentence, with a review to take place after 12 years.
He beat her to death after his co-accused, BOY B, lured her from her home in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.
BOY B was also found guilty of her murder, but is in the process of appealing his conviction.
Both boys were 13 years old at the time of her death.
The boys, who can never be identified because of their ages at the time, are serving their sentences at Oberstown Detention Centre.
Last night, Gardaí confirmed they are investigating an alleged assault on BOY A.
They’re looking into claims he was beaten up by other young offenders in a communal area at Oberstown on Sunday evening.
