As of today, alcohol packaging is about to start looking very different.
The Public Health Alcohol Bill has been officially signed into law.
President Michael D. Higgins enacted the legislation this morning after all stages of the bill passed through the Dail earlier this month.
Alcohol products will now have to feature health warnings including the link between alcohol and cancers and other health conditions - similar to tobacco products.
