Times Square was taken over by a swarm of bees yesterday afternoon, in particular, one hot-dog stand.
It happened at 43rd Street and Broadway and with such an amount of bees it weighed down sections of the stand’s umbrella.
CNN reports that there more than 40,000 bees flocking to the stand as tourist and passers-by looked on in shock they say "The hive got overcrowded because it was hot and humid and they just needed a new place to go so they can keep cool".
Much like New Yorkers, in the summer the bees feel that the hive is just too....crowded. So they take off for a little relocation. https://t.co/7ZJJfAxBzR

Please Bee advised, @NYPDTimesSquare is safe again from our buzzing comrades. It’s a hot and humid day and our buzzing friends just stopped by the hotdog vendor for a refreshing drink and to take a quick break before moving on to a new home.
