378 Covid Cases Today As 40-44s Given Vaccine Registration Dates

There has been a further 378 Covid-19 cases, as the vaccine portal opens to the next group this week.

98 patients are in hospital are in hospital with the disease, down 1 in the past 24 hours.

35 are in ICU, which is unchanged over the same period.

HSE Says Ireland's Vaccine Uptake Rates Are Great

Meanwhile the vaccine uptake so far in Ireland has been described as the envy of the rest of Europe.

That's the message from the HSE's Chief Clinical Officer.

The health service says people aged 40 to 44 will be able to register for the jab from Wednesday.

The online portal will be open to those aged 44 on Wednesday.

So people who are 43 can sign up Thursday, then 42 year olds on Friday and so on and so forth.
