Dr Tony Holohan says our 14-day incidence rate is now the highest it’s been since February 24th.

So it's at 231 per 100,000.

The Chief Medical Officer says the five-day average is 1,159 cases per day.

That's the highest it’s been since February 2nd.

Freedom Day In England "Feels Weird"

A London bar owner says it feels weird that hospitality restrictions have ended in England.

The so-called Freedom Day sees nightclubs open, while masks are no longer required indoors or on transport.

It comes as rising infection rates saw the UK as a whole reporting almost 40,000 Covid cases today.

Pat Logue, who is originally from Donegal, owns the Sheephaven Bay Pub in Camden Town:

"You've been telling them for months now that if they're standing, they have to wear a mask."

"We've been policing it and patrolling for it."

"It just feels weird now today."
