According to Deadline, they're currently on the lookout for a writer.

Synopsis

The Forbidden Game follows the store of a young girl named Jenny who buys a game for her boyfriend, Tom on his birthday.

A man named Julian sells the book to her, and she finds herself, 'inexplicably drawn,' to him.

The synopsis reads, 'When he places the Game into her hands, she knows their connection is something deeper.'

As Jenny and her friends sit down to play the game, the night takes a turn for the worst.

'Because the Game isn't just a game - it's the seven friends' new reality, where Julian reigns as the Prince of the Shadows.'

'One by one the friends must confront their phobias to win the Game.'

'To lose the Game is to lose their lives.'

The synopsis finishes, 'And that is only the beginning...'

We're still waiting on casting announcements.
