If you weren't glued to the Super Bowl last night and happened to be scrolling through Netflix you may have noticed a surprise release.

The Cloverfield Paradox, the third movie in the Cloverfield franchise, was dropped on the streaming service in full despite the first two movies getting a cinematic release.

The film is the follow up to 2015's 10 Cloverfield Lane and sees JJ Abram's return to produce. Chris O'Dowd stars along with Daniel Bruhl, Roger Davies and Elizabeth Debicki

The story is set before, during and after the original Cloverfield movie (you should probably watch it first) and sees a group of astronauts on a space station working to solve a massive energy crisis back on Earth.

And there's more good news for fans of the franchise this morning. There will be a fourth release this year.

This time around we'll be taken back in time 1944 where two American paratroopers are shot down over Normandy only to discover that the Nazis are using supernatural forces against them.

Currently titled Overlord, although previous Cloverfield installments have been known to have numerous working titles, it looks set for release on 26th of October in cinemas.
