Netflix have pulled the plug on I Am Not Okay With This after just one season.

I Am Not Okay With This follows the story of a teenage girl named Sydney.
While trying to navigate life as a teen, she soon discovers she has telekinetic powers.
Season one ended on a massive cliffhanger, and we're dying to know what happens next.
The school jock Bradley Lewis finds out about her powers and decides to out her at a school dance.
Out of anger, Sydney ends up blowing up his head, and killing him.
The cancellation
While season two hadn't been announced, it's believed they fully intended on continuing the series.
According to Deadline, the script for the new season has already been written.
They were seemingly set to begin production when the coronavirus pandemic hit.
So why can't they just wait until it's safe to start filming again? Well, it turns out it's not as simple as that.
Sources told Deadline that there would be unexpected budget increases due to COVID.
This coupled with uncertainty around production dates and balancing cast availability lead to the decision.
This is the same reason they decided to pull the plug on The Society.
In a statement to Deadline, Netflix said, 'We’ve made the difficult decision not to move forward with second seasons of The Society and I Am Not Okay With This.'
'We’re disappointed to have to make these decisions due to circumstances created by COVID, and we are grateful to these creators... and all the writers, casts and crews who worked tirelessly to make these shows for our members around the world.'
