With just under a week to go until the show returns, the Love Island 2019 contestants have been revealed.

We've got a Dubliner, two semi-professional rugby players and a self-described local hero!

Let's meet the five girls and seven guys we're going to be obsessing over this summer:

Amber

Name: Amber Gill

Age: 21

Hometown: Newcastle

Career: Beauty Therapist

While her friends think she's funny, she admits she's hot-headed, loud and opinionated.

Her perfect guy with be muscly, athletic and a gym-lover.

She'd also like someone who's fun and doesn't take themselves too seriously.

Amber's dream celebrity date is Tom Hardy because, "he’s just nice and he loves dogs."

She says that if she fancies someone in the villa, she will always say it to the girl they're seeing first.

"I wouldn’t do anything and tread on their toes, that’s not really my game. That’s not the type of thing I would do."

She respects girl code, but says she wouldn't have as much loyalty to girls she doesn't know compared to her friends.

Amber may have an advantage against other Islanders this year as she's friends with some past contestants.

She's knows Adam Collard and Ellie Brown, as all three are from Newcastle and, "everyone knows everyone in Newcastle!"

Anton

Name: Anton Danyluk

Age: 24

Hometown: Airdrie, Scotland

Career: Gym Owner

Anton is the first male Scottish islander to compete on Love Island.

He hopes he can surpass Laura and Camilla's past efforts and win the show.

While he's funny, hard working and motivated, he can be moody and selfish.

He would rate himself an eight out of ten for looks and claims his eyes are his best feature.

Anton is looking for a hard working and good looking gym lover.

Margot Robbie is his celebrity crush, "purely for her performance in The Wolf Of Wall Street."

Anton admits he's never been loyal in any of his previous relationships.

"My last relationship, I actually got caught cheating for the first time in my life and it changed everything for me. I saw how much it hurt her and what it did to her. So, for me going to into Love Island, it’s going to be the biggest test of my life."

Tommy

Name: Tommy Fury

Age: 20

Hometown: Manchester

Career: Boxer

Tommy is professional boxer Tyrson Fury's younger brother.

He's looking for romance and a bromance in the Love Island villa and says he's fun, bubbly and really easy-going.

However, he can be overly confident, lazy and too talkative.

But he's also honest, charismatic and charming.

When it comes to his looks, he'd give himself a "solid eight".

Tommy says lots of girls reach out to him on Instagram, but he prefers real-life experiences.

"Sit down over a drink or a meal and chat to them face-to-face, that’s the best way for me to date because that’s how you find out what type of person they really are."

Tommy is looking for a "gym girl", with, "blonde hair, blue eyes" and a good tan.

He's turned off by cockiness, but does like confidences.

Amy

Name: Amy Hart

Age: 26

Hometown: Sussex

Career: Air Hostess & Cabin Crew Manager

Amy is giving Love Island a go because she's the Bridget Jones of her group and she needs to find someone.

She's looking for someone fun to travel the world with who potentially looks like Liam Hemsworth.

However, she also fancies Ashley Banjo, David Walliams and Simon Cowell.

Amy says she's a good mix of fun and serious.

She'll be looking after people in the villa, but also, "really getting stuck in with all the fun things too."

She's never been cheated on and has never had a proper boyfriend.

Amy defines girl code as, "being open and honest."

Her claim to fame involves a night out with Liam from One Direction.

He smiled at her in a club and invited her to hang out with him.

She took a picture with him, posted it to Instagram and it went viral!

Callum

Name: Callum MacLeod

Age: 28

Hometown: South Wales

Career: Aircraft Engineer

Callum describes himself as a genuine, normal guy who's up for a good laugh.

As one of the oldest islanders this year he says he's aware that time is ticking.

He's going into the villa to meet someone as he, "doesn't want to be left on the shelf."

Callum is fun, loyal, spontaneous and clean.

He's likes petite, blonde girls and is looking for a partner who will let him be himself.

He says he has blossomed with age and describes himself as a 6.2 out of ten.

His best feature is his tan, which he hopes will bring him up to a seven out of ten in the villa.

Callum hates cheating and cannot understand why people do it.

"I’m all for being single, having a laugh and doing what you’ve got to do but I don’t understand why you would want to hurt someone at the same time. I’d rather just say ‘I don’t want to be with you’ and then go off."

Anna

Name: Anna Vakili

Age: 28

Hometown: London

Career: Pharmacist

Anna says she's different from past islanders because she's glam but has also studied hard.

"I’ve got my masters. I’m a pharmacist and I have a Middle Eastern background."

She's not sure if her dream guy exists, but if he does he'll be tall and dark.

Personality-wise she's looking for someone who is loyal, kind and emotional.

"I like the soppy guys. I’m not into cocky boys at all, I like smart and funny."

Anna says best personality trait is her kindness.

She's emotional, honest and doesn't like to see other people hurting.

However, she can be "difficult to handle", a drama queen, clumsy and messy.

Her biggest turn off is bad hygiene.

Anna won't fight for a guy in the villa. She just plans to be herself.

When she does find the right guy, she's ready to "go far to make him happy."

Sherif

Name: Sherif Lanre

Age: 20

Hometown: London

Career: Chef & Semi-Pro Rugby Player

Sherif says he's the perfect islander because he's, "upbeat and cheeky and outrageous."

He avoids conflict and will lift people's moods.

However, he sometimes gets in trouble for not taking things seriously enough.

For looks, he gives himself a seven and a half out of ten. Maybe an eight on a good day.

He'd like to meet someone with a nice smile and a nice bum!

They also must be able to make him laugh.

While he has a wandering eye, he says being loyal is an, "absolute must on the show."

Sherif doesn't want someone who has to be the centre of attention.

And he's not prepared to fight for, "a girl that's got loads of boys after her."

His first celebrity crush was Vanessa Hudgens.

Tori Brixx is his ideal date now.

Curtis

Name: Curtis Pritchard

Age: 23

Hometown: Shropshire

Career: Pro Ballroom & Latin Dancer

You may recognise Curtis from his stint on Ireland's Dancing With The Stars. 

His ex girlfriend featured on the show too and Curtis' brother is also a dancer - AJ Pritchard from Strictly Come Dancing.

He rates his looks highly and says his best feature is his smile.

While he believes love is blind, he likes blondes with athletic bodies.

Curtis admits he's lead a very sheltered life because of his dancing career.

He hasn't much experience with dating or parting.

However, he says he's great fun to be around and is always putting a smile on other people's faces.

Lucie

Name: Lucie Donlan

Age: 21

Hometown: Newquay

Career: Surfer

Lucie says she will stand out from previous islanders because she's more sporty than glam.

She get's on with girls who are more tomboy-ish and admits she's more of a, "guy's girl than a girl's girl."

While she's kind, thoughtful and bubbly, she's also late for everything.

Her dream guy is a blonde, long-haired surfer, but her celebrity crush is Joey Essex!

"I was on a shoot and I was introduced to him, then he followed me on Instagram a few weeks later. We were talking
about his dog because I love dogs and then we just said that we should go on date but it didn’t happen."

Lucie revealed she meets a lot of guys on Instagram.

Like Yewande, Lucie is turned off by arrogance.

She says while she has cheated in the past, she wouldn't do it again.

Her claim to fame is a brief relationship with Charlie Frederick when he left the villa last year.

Joe

Name: Joe Garratt

Age: 22

Hometown: South East London

Career: Catering Company Owner

Joe has had one previous girlfriend and they met locally.

He says love is a, "super powerful thing."

If he feels a strong connection with someone in the villa, he'll go for it.

Joe describes himself as very fun and a bit of a romantic.

He's chilled out and laid back, but can also be indecisive.

He's looking to meet someone fun and outgoing and says, "I’m looking for a connection, obviously initial attraction is key but the connection is the main go-to."

Joe's claim to fame is that he used to play semi-professional rugby.

His celebrity crushes are Jorja Smith, Amber Heard and Lily Collins.

Michael

Name: Michael Griffiths

Age: 27

Hometown: Liverpool

Career: Firefighter

Michael describes himself as a local hero.

He's straight-talking, open and energetic.

When it comes to his looks, he'd rate himself a ten out of ten and gets lots of compliments on his smile and lips.

Michael is looking to meet someone he can connect with on an intellectual level.

He has been cheated on a lot in the past, he's cheated once.

"I think I’ve cheated once but it was more of a revenge cheat," he admitted.

"I’ve had long-term relationships but I think I’ve had about four or five girlfriends. I’ve been loyal to all of them apart from one."

If he likes someone in the villa, he's going for it no matter what.

"There’s not really anything that could stop me."

Yewande

Name: Yewande Biala

Age: 23

Hometown: Dublin

Career: Scientist

Yewande thinks she's perfect for the villa because people will be surprised by her unique job.

She's compared herself to 2018's Dr. Alex and 2017's Camilla Thurlow.

Her ideal partner is tall and athletic with good banter.

She wants someone she can hold a normal conversation with, while her main turn off is arrogance.

If she could hook up with any celebrity it would be Anthony Joshua

Let's hope there is love in the villa for Yewande, as she says she's never had been on a good date!

"There was a guy that I met on Tinder once who took me for drinks. I was a bit worried because I met him online and thought he might be a bit strange, let's just say my suspicious were right..."
