Time to get your skates on!

Winter is well and truly here and there's no better way to enjoy the season than with a bit of ice skating.

It's one of our favourite activities this time of year and is the perfect excuse to pull some friends together.

We promise you'll have loads of fun!

So grab your woolly hat, get wrapped up and check out the places you can get your skates on in Dublin.

Ice Skating Blanchardstown

Ice Skating Blanchardstown has been operating since 2014, so they're pros!

The rink has lots to offer, from a smaller rink for the little ones to an ice hockey team that practices on Saturday mornings.

If you're looking to head along with work they have fantastic group offers, and they even run a student day on Wednesdays for just €10.

Afterwards you can sit back and enjoy a hot drink and crepe from their on site vendors.

South Dublin On Ice (Tallaght)

Open now until late January, South Dublin On Ice has been gracing Tallaght for three years.

All the family can join in the fun with skate aids, double blade skates, and polar bear ice chairs to help the little ones get around the ice.

Each session is for 45 minutes and family tickets start from €50. School rates are available too.

The rink is also running special events like Sensory Night and Accessible For All customer nights this year, so be sure to keep an eye on their website!

Dundrum On Ice

Dundrum On Ice is celebrating their 10th birthday in a brand new location.

Located in Building 5, Dundrum South, their 500m² of ice is bigger and better than before.

Jamie's Italian has also teamed up with the rink for a magical "Skate and Date" night and a special kid's birthday offer.

Plus, if you're stuck for a gift idea this Christmas, why not choose one of their skate vouchers? They're available online.

Swords On Ice

Swords On Ice is open now at the Pavillions Shopping Centre until early January.

With sessions starting on the hour, you can add a bit of fun to your festive shopping day out.

You'll have the best time whether with friends or family. Or you can make use of their late opening hours and head along with your colleagues for some team bonding.

Soak up the festive atmosphere, enjoy the live music and treat yourself to something nice from their light refreshment vendors.
