Tasty Back to School Smoothies

If you're looking to kick off the new term on the right foot, smoothies are a delicious way to do it. They're cheap, quick and easy to make and taste delicious.

Here are five recipes to get you started this new term:

1. Green Goodness:

Ingredients:

  • 3 slices of pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 a mango
  • 1/2 a banana
  • 200ml milk of your choice
  • 2 handfuls of spinach

Method:

  1. Blend the pineapple, mango, banana and milk using a hand blender or smoothie maker
  2. Add the spinach a little at a time and blend.

2. Raspberry Chia:

Ingredients:

  • Handful of frozen raspberries
  • 150ml apple juice
  • 3 tablespoons of yogurt
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Method:

  1. Blend all the above ingredients until smooth

3. Berry and Avocado:

Ingredients:

  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 200ml milk of your choice
  • 2 handfuls of mixed berries
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 3 tablespoons of yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

Method:

  1. Blend the lime juice, milk, berries, avocado and yogurt using a hand blender or smoothie maker.
  2. Add the honey and blend again until smooth.

4. Strawberry Banana:

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup of strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 250ml of Avonmore Super Milk

Method: 

  1. Blend all the ingredients until smooth.
