Ed Sheeran. Taylor Swift. One Stage in Wales.

Seeing as Glastonbury is not a runner this year as organisers want to allow the farmland time to recover, the BBC have kindly provided an alternative known as 'The Biggest Weekend.'

Last year, BBC bosses announced that the new multi-location event would offer "coverage similar to that around Glastonbury."

The festival is set for the May Bank Holiday Weekend (25th-28th May) and will take place across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

There are some big names confirmed to perform already:

Singleton Park, Swansea, Wales

Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, plus more to be announced.

War Memorial Park, Coventry, England

Billy Ocean, Snow Patrol, Eliza Carthy & The Wayward Band, Nigel Kennedy with the BBC Concert Orchestra plus more to be announced.

Scone Palace, Perth, Scotland

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Nigel Kennedy with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra plus more to be announced.

Titanic Slipways, Belfast, Northern Ireland

Beck, Courtney Barnett, Manic Street Preachers, Public Service Broadcasting plus more to be announced.

Over 175,000 tickets will be available to the public and the BBC have pointed out that "this festival will be for one year and there are no plans for it to become an annual event."
