Five fab things on in Dublin this weekend courtesy of Snapchat Star James Kavanagh! You can follow James on Snapchat, @JamesKSnaps

1) The innocent Green. this weekend @ Merrion Square

Do you yearn to be a child again? Play some rounders? Tip the can? Dive in a giant ball pit? Well get down to this! Throwing it back to those long summer days spent hanging out with friends on the green, guests of The innocent Green can enjoy a game of rounders, tip the can and fruit pong while waiting their turn for a go in the massive ball pool, complete with diving board and inflatable fruit. The good people from innocent will be on hand throughout the day to help keep thirst at bay by supplying a range of tasty drinks from their Super Smoothies and Coconut Water ranges full of all that innocent good stuff. 2) Joanne McNally @ The Vodafone Comedy Festival, tonight @ Iveagh Gardens

The queen of the gas bitches Joanne McNally is back! The festival takes place in 5 fully seated indoor venues over 4 days from July 27th – 30th and tickets are on sale, Friday 16th June @ 9am. More info: http://vodafonecomedy.com/

3) Save Newmarket Square Rally, this evening @ Newmarket Square

Our beloved Newmarket Square, home to the Dublin Food Coop, Dublin Flea Market, Fusion Sundays World Market, and Pure Vintage Market, is under threat by greedy developers. If you love that area and want to protect its identity, head on down this evening and show your support! More info: https://www.facebook.com/events/1981034795462771

4) Ask, tonight @ MVP

Ask is back! This time we've asked the legend that is Tonie Walsh to come and spin a few tunes and a few tales. Again, the proceeds from the night will go towards supporting The Gay Switchboard, an extremely underfunded but important helpline for the LGBTQ+ community which has been running for over 40 years. Expect even crazier visuals, sexy sounds, pints and possibly some nudity. Admission is €5 More info: https://www.facebook.com/events/130007880932022

5) Once @ Happenings, Friday @ Fitzwilliam Square

“Once” is a modern day musical set on the streets of Dublin. Featuring Glen Hansard and his band The Frames, “Once” tells the story of a street musician and a Czech immigrant during an eventful week as they write, rehearse and record songs that reveal their unique love story.
