PlayerXpo is Ireland’s ultimate games expo taking place in the Convention Centre Dublin this weekend.
Earlier this year, there were issues with tickets for the Gamercon event. However, the organisers are eager to shake off any lingering perceptions that they are associated with an earlier gaming event in the year.
Mick Finucane, creative director of PlayersXpo explained:
“Listening to attendees yesterday we realised some had assumed PlayersXpo is organised by the same people behind the ‘Gamercon’ event earlier in the year. The organisers of PlayersXpo are categorically not the same people behind ‘Gamercon’ and none of the people involved in that event are involved in PlayersXpo.
We are gamers, some of whom attended ‘Gamercon’ and like many others were disappointed with the experience. That in part motivated us to establish PlayersXpo in order to provide fellow gamers with the brilliant games convention experience they deserve.”

Customers who claim the free tickets today are advised to bring the email confirmation you receive from PlayersXpo and to show the email receipt from the ‘Gamercon’ event earlier in the year.
