A lot changes in a year, and The Weeknd will vouch for that after his performance at Coachella last night.
He was making headlines this time last year for laying the lips on his then-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
The 28 year old performed his heartbreak song 'Call Out My Name' which is thought to be about Gomez, and he just about held it together.
Fans posted footage of The Weeknd choking up on stage and nearly in tears when singing the song's lyrics.

Gomez wasn't in the audience herself so wouldn't have seen his emotional performance, but a certain Justin Bieber was..... how awkward.
The Weeknd also sang 'Wasted Times', another emotionally driven song thought to be his other ex Bella Hadid.
An emotional man to say the least.
