The BT Young Scientist Exhibition returns in 2018. Here’s everything you need to know about the 54th annual event.

10th – 13th January 2018

What’s this year’s theme?

It Starts Here.

The It Starts Here campaign shows students that the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition is a beginning, a place to develop an interest in science, technology, engineering and maths. It’s a platform to demonstrate students’ creativity and a chance to turn imagination into reality.

What happens on the day?

As well as the final of the competition, there will be four halls filled with innovative and inspiring science and technology exhibits showcasing the talents of Ireland’s secondary schools from all over the country.

Who can enter?

BT Young Scientist calls on secondary school students from all over the country to apply! You can enter as individual or combine your ideas, intellect and skills in a group of no more than three students

What are the entry categories?

There are four categories:

  • Biological & ecological sciences
  • Chemical, physical & mathematical sciences
  • Social & behavioural sciences
  • Technology

When is the closing date for entries?

Monday 25th September, time to get to work!
