Saoirse Ronan's revealed Saved by the Bell and Sabrina The Teenage Witch were the two shows that helped to inspire her performance in Ladybird.
She's already won a Golden Globe for her role - and will be hoping to bag the Oscar next month.
Saoirse said the classic shows helped her get the mindset of an American 17-year-old "because she grew up with them - they were quintessential American high schools and they seemed like a good place to get a taste of that world".
