Former Love Island contestant Paul Knops has broken his silence following his split from fellow islander, Laura Anderson.
Paul and Laura were the second couple to call it quits from this year's series, since exiting the villa.
The pair split back in September and Paul has now revealed the reasons why they broke up.
Speaking to The Sun, Paul admitted that he was looking for a wife, and it was not going to work out between them.
"We weren't right for each other and that's why we never made things official. Of course she was upset. There were tears."
Paul also spoke about backlash he received since being on the show, with some viewers accusing him of using Laura.
"Laura wouldn't have come second without me, and vice versa. People blamed me of using her. How did I use her? We went on the same show."
Paul hinted that he and Laura aren't on great terms since the break-up, adding that "we are not friends."
