The last festival of the summer is nearly here and don’t worry, you won’t have to go trawling through Pinterest for Electric Picnic hair inspo.

We’ve teamed up with Aussie Hair to make things easier for you with three simple looks.

First things first, hydrated locks are key to a healthy festival mane if you want your style to be long-lasting and head-turning. Start your prep now by using a regular deep conditioning treatment like Aussie Hair 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor in the weeks before the big day.

Day One: Boxer Braids

Braids are a handy option for the first day as keeping your hair out of your face will keep it fresher for longer. Bonus: it will help with day two’s look.

  1. Prep hair with Aussie Hair Pure Locks shampoo and Aussie Hair 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor.
  2. Blow dry adding volume with a round brush.
  3. Form a middle part by creating two sections from your hairline to the nape of your neck.
  4. Clip one section to the side to get it out of the way.
  5. Plait the other side until you reach the nape.
  6. Once you reach the nape, let the rest of the hair hang loose.
  7. Secure with a bobbin.
  8. Repeat on the other side.

Day Two: Half-up

The braids from day one should leave you with beach waves and you can transition them into an easy-to-do half-up hairstyle.

  1. Add texture to your hair with Aussie Hair Wash + Blow Sweet Escape dry shampoo.
  2. Pull half your hair up from the front of your ear.
  3. Tie into a ponytail.
  4. Twist the ponytail into a bun and secure with pins.

Day Three: Top knot hair scarf

Fatigue will have gotten the better of you by now so day three’s look should take only the teeniest bit of effort.

  1. Texturise hair again with Aussie Hair Wash + Blow dry Sweet Escape shampoo.
  2. Brush hair using flat brush.
  3. Flip your hair over and brush into ponytail.
  4. Take your ponytail and twist it down to the end.
  5. Secure with a bobbin.
  6. Create a knot by holding the middle of the twist with one hand; grab the ponytail with your other and wrap the hair around.
  7. With the hand that’s holding the end of the ponytail, pull the hair through the centre of the first wrap and tie hair into a knot, don’t pull all the ends through, just enough so that they’re hidden.
  8. Add bobby pins to hold style.
  9. Wrap head scarf around the knot. Ta da!
