Less than a week ago it was announced that Beyoncé would not perform at this year's Coachella, but will headline the 2018 festival instead.

In a statement to the Associated Press, Beyoncé's Parkwood Entertainment and festival producer Goldenvoice said that she had to pull out of performing, under doctor's orders.

Coachella have now confirmed that Lady Gaga will take Beyoncé's place across the two weekends instead. Lady Gaga will now take to the stage April 15th and 22nd.

Mother Monster herself is absolutely chuffed. She tweeted her fans 'Let's party in the desert!'

There's been a mixed reaction on social media following the announcement.
