Smithwick’s Irish Ale has announced an exciting new music experience called the ‘Smithwick’s Soundtrack Series’ and last night the Zoo Crew were at Whelan’s for the launch.

The special series of gigs will see two of Ireland’s most sought-after music acts, BARQ and Le Galaxie, perform their contemporary take on two of the most memorable soundtracks of all time:Pulp Fiction and Apocalypse Now.

Both bands have reimagined the iconic playlists to deliver an exciting live music experience for film and music lovers alike, complete with a pint of Smithwick’s for good measure.

The crowd in Whelan’s were treated to Le Galaxie’s interpretation of the iconic Apocalypse Now soundtrack.

Dubbed one of the most exciting bands to emerge on the Irish music scene in recent years, BARQ have taken their time in reinventing and introducing their signature ‘agro-soul’ sound to one of the world’s coolest mixtapes, Pulp Fiction.

The Smithwick’s Soundtrack Series gigs will be supported by DJs Nialler9 and Sally Cinnamon.

Additionally, Nialler9 has created a playlist featuring notable movie soundtrack tunes that he and Sally will unveil as the series progresses.
