The Big Bang Theory has been going for 11 seasons now and the 12 was confirmed last year.

However, according to reports, the 12th could be the last.

Johnny Galecki, who plays Dr. Leonard Hofstadter spoke on the 2018 TCA Winter Press Tour.

He said:

"The only manner in which the cast has discussed wrapping [the show] has been that we're all going to be very sad when that day comes. But I think at this point everyone's very comfortable with 12 seasons being a good time to go home and see our families."

There's already a spin off show created - Young Sheldon - which has been renewed for a second season.

The series focuses on the rural Texas upbringing of the Sheldon and counts the actor who plays Sheldon in the original show - Jim Parsons - as both exec producer and narrator.

So for now we'll have to enjoy Sheldon's antics whilst we can.
