Reports suggest that they've spent the past few months "bickering" over their lack of quality time together.
Last year, the couple had their first child together, and an insider has told The Sun that the child is the only thing keeping them together.
Since leaving One Direction, Liam has embarked on a solo career and it has put a certain amount of strain on the relationship.
An insider said: "There's a big age gap between them. If they didn't have Bear they would have most likely split up by now.
