Chatting on Plan B
"I’m 17 years old from inner city Dublin and I live in the flats with my mam, brother and sister and I have to do a 40 minute bus journey to training up and back everyday which gives me the hunger to do well. I didn’t want to get dragged into what other people were doing around me so I got busy with training. I train five times a week for three hours a day and I don’t know what I’d do without training now. It’s become my life."
About her gold medal, Sarah said, "For me fighting is about pushing myself to the limits mentally and physically and just proving to myself that I can do this. I can’t explain the feeling of stepping into the cage to anyone but I was smiling every step of the way."
