20 counties are under some form of a rainfall warning today, with fears of flooding again in the South.

Kilkenny, Wexford and Waterford are under an orange level alert until 1am.

Met Éireann is warning of flooding, dangerous travelling conditions and poor visibility in the three counties affected by the orange alert.

Other Warnings

Meanwhile 17 other counties are affected by yellow level rainfall warnings.

It includes pretty much every county in the midlands and the south except for Kerry.

The first of these warnings mostly affects the west, south and south west, it expires at 6pm.

Meanwhile the second stretches from Carlow to Dublin to Roscommon and everywhere in between.

That runs until the early hours tomorrow morning.

These yellow level warnings say rain is expected, heavy at times and possibly bringing thunder.

There are also fears about further flooding as the ground around the country is saturated, having been battered by Storm Babet last week.
