The price of a pint of some beers and stouts is going up today.
For the second time in six months Diageo is increasing the cost of stout and beer.
This time it's by four cent - while in February it was 12 cent.
It'll affect drinks like Guinness, Smithwick’s, Rockshore, Harp, Hop House 13 and Carlsberg.
The Vintners' Federation says the increase is badly timed and unfair on customers and pubs.
"Bad Timing"
Kerry TD, Michael Healy Rae, agrees its "bad timing."
He said, "rural pubs are finding it difficult enough to try keep their doors open, and keep customers coming in."
Deputy Healy Rae says he doesn't agree with the price hike.
"To keep customers going, I think we should be doing everything we can to keep the cost of alcohol down," he said.
