A Clare Senator has made a fresh call for more GAA matches to be available on telly.

It's after many fans expressed disappointment the Munster Senior Hurling clash between Clare and Limerick wasn't screened live.

The match was available on the GAA's streaming service, GAA GO.

Clare Senator Timmy Dooley says the organisation must look again at what's available for TV viewers:

"The GAA is an amateur sport, and there is, out of that, an expectation that it will be and should be free to air.

"I think we've got to go back and re-look at that."

"Now, I recognize the GAA need money, they have to get support and obviously they do generate money from the streaming service."

"But I think there's a better way to do that, the people who pay their license fee would expect to see a game like that."
