There has been widespread condemnation following a bomb attack on a hospital in Gaza.  A reported 500 people have been killed.

Israel's military blame Hamas for the attack. Stating it will release evidence - including drone footage - that it claims will prove its claims.

However, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad has denied Israeli suggestions it was responsible.

Executive Director of UNICEF Ireland, Peter Power is in Oman in Jordan. He is calling for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian access:

"The humanitarian situation in Gaza now is deteriorating rapidly by the hour... and we're extremely concerned about the lack of access to water for over
1 million people who have been displaced from Gaza City. What we need now is immediate humanitarian access to the Rafa crossing on the southern border of Gaza with Egypt."

Biden Visit

American President Joe Biden is set to travel to Israel today, in a show of support for the country

Meetings that were planned for later today between President Biden and Egyptian and Palestinian leaders have been cancelled following the explosion in Gaza.

The Jordanian foreign minister says there is "no use in talking about anything except stopping the war".
