What the heck is going on with Twitter?

Elon Musk could, maybe, possibly, potentially step down as Twitter boss.
To get to that point, we need to update you on all the background stuff that's happened over the weekend.
Yesterday Twitter made an announcement (below), in the middle of the World Cup Final, when most of us were dug into the match.
We've had to post a screenshot because the tweets themselves, from the Twitter Support account, have disappeared.
That's odd.
Anger
That, obviously, annoyed most people.
It would have stopped us from posting our IG links on Twitter, oddly TikTok wasn't included and neither was BeReal.
It also would have banned Facebook links, if that's still your thing I won't judge, (I will though.)
This poll appeared soon after, on a totally different account belonging to Twitter itself.
This has truly been the most pathetic day in twitter history

Now he hasn't commented on the result yet, probably because it's the middle of the night in San Fransisco where Twitter's headquarters is based.
However, we will be keeping a close eye on whatever comes of this.
Could Musk decide to just delete the poll and pretend it didn't exist? Maybe.
Might he step down and get someone else to take over? Possibly!
