Seven Arrested In €2 Million Drugs Seizure Across Dublin

Seven men are being questioned in connection with a series of drugs and cash seizures in Dublin.

More than €2m worth of cocaine, cannabis and heroin has been seized.

Gardai conducted a number of searches across Dublin targeting drug traffickers yesterday and today.

As part of one of the searches officers seized bottles of wine and champagne, some of which had been infused with liquid cocaine at an apartment in Beaumont.

More than €150,000 worth of the drug was recovered from the alcohol.

Gardai also stopped a vehicle travelling on the M50 motorway.

While a premises located in Palmerstown was also searched.

Cannabis, cocaine, heroin and a substantial amount of cash was seized.

The seven men are being questioned at various Dublin Garda stations.

Assistant Commissioner John O’Driscoll, who is responsible for leading operations tackling organised crime, says:

"The outcome of operational activity undertaken by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, supported by a number of other specialised units within the Garda Síochána, over the past twenty-four hours, is very significant and reflects exceptional policing skills along with dedication and bravery on the part of the personnel involved."
