Homeless Population Surpasses 9,000

There's been an increase of 269 in the number of people who are homeless.

 

Figures from the Department of Housing show 9,099 people were registered as homeless in November.

 

That's up from 8,830 in October.

 

 

2,548 children are without a home, while Dublin accounts for 70% of the homeless population.

 

That total does not include rough sleepers, women in refuge centres or those in Direct Provision.
