A total of 377 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Ireland today.

The number of COVID-19 patients in Irish hospitals has fallen to 69 - and 26 of those patients are being treated in intensive care.

Today's new cases mean the five-day moving average now stands at 420, compared to 426.

The figures are subject to change, amid the ongoing impact of the HSE cyberattack on reporting COVID-19 data in Ireland.

The figures come in a day where restrictions have been eased.

People around the country are enjoying a meal and a drink out for the first time since Christmas.

Bars, restaurants and cafes have resumed outdoor service, as part of the latest lifting of Covid-19 restrictions.

Gyms and swimming pools have also reopened for individual training, and people can now go to the cinema and theatre.

Thousands of people have returned to work as a result.
