Covid-19: 330 New Cases And 8 Additional Deaths

The Department of Health has confirmed 330 new cases of Covid-19.

Eight people have died from the virus; there has now been 2,018 Covid-19 related deaths since the virus broke out in March.

Of the cases notified today, 171 cases are men while 155 are women.

Most people - 64% - are aged under 45 years of age.

The median age is 37.

Most cases, 99, are in Dublin.

Elsewhere, there are 28 new cases in Cork, 26 in Louth, 24 in Meath and 21 in Donegal.

The remaining 131 cases are spread across 20 counties.

Meanwhile, there have been 13 additional hospitalisations in the past twenty-four hours.

In total, 283 Covid patients are being treated in hospital, 33 of whom are in intensive care.

The 14 Day incidence rate is estimated to be 113.1 per 100,00 population.
