The man's body was found with gunshot wounds
The body of a man has been discovered in North County Dublin.
The man was found beside a car parked on a local road just off Junction 5 on the M1 at Walshestown - not far from Balbriggan.
He sustained gunshot wounds, while a car was found on fire at the scene.
Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a man’s body in a car in North County Dublin.
The L1140 to Walshestown just off Junction 5 on the M1 Northbound is closed.

The road where the discovery was made as been sealed off at both ends.
A forensic examination will be carried out later today.
