An app which develops postcards is allowing people send one to a nursing home resident for free.
The Irish PostASelfie app usually charges users to create a postcard using their own photos to send to loved ones around the world.
However they are now waiving that fee so customers can send a postcard to a relative in a nursing home during the Covid-19 restrictions.

The creator of the app, Adrian McCuskerm, says he couldn't imagine not being able to visit a family member during lockdown.
"My own father was in a nursing homes a couple of years ago, hard and all as it was to visit him at the time, at least we could," he said
