Looks like it's not about Barry gals!

Sabrina Carpenter‘s new song 'Manchild' is officially out in the world.

The title of the song launched speculation that it was about the singers ex-boyfriend Barry Keoghan, however Sab is talking about the true meaning behind the song.

Taking to Instagram Sabrina wrote: "This song became to me something I can look back on that will score the mental montage to the very confusing and fun young adult years of life."

She continued, "it sounds like the song embodiment of a loving eye roll and it feels like a never ending road trip in the summer! hence why I wanted to give it to you now- so you can stick your head out the car window and scream it all summer long! thank you always and forever for listening and thank you men for testing me!"

There’s also a lyric in the second verse that seems to shut down theories about the song being about Barry: "Why so sexy if so dumb? / And how survive the Earth so long /If I’m not there, it won’t get dumb / I choose to blame your mom."

If ya didn't know, Barry‘s mam tragically died from drug addiction when he was only 12 years old. Recently he got candid about his own battles with addiction and what it was like losing his mam at a young age.
