Dublin singer/songwriter Lisa Keane has announced her second single of 2026, 'The One', will be released on the 5th June!

The artist began songwriting at the age of 13 after discovering a music course for teens that focused on songwriting, recording, and performance. This course sparked her interest in songwriting, and she has been writing her own songs ever since. Lisa draws inspiration from artists such as Taylor Swift and Griff, blending elements from different genres to create her own distinctive sound.

Lisa has received support from BBC Across the Line, Today FM, FM104, RTÉ 2FM, The Last Mixed Tape, and Hot Press to name a few. Lisa recently performed her previous single 'Another Goodbye' on The Six O'Clock show on Virgin Media One.

“I have always loved music and singing since a young age. As a kid, I would put on home concerts for my family and make them listen to me singing and dancing around to Britney Spears songs. I began songwriting around the age of 13 after my Mam brought me to record a cover of Taylor Swift’s ‘White Horse’ at Contact Studios for my birthday. At the studio, I learnt about a music course called Suburban Sounds that they run for teenagers. The course is focused around songwriting and live performance. This really kick-started my interest in songwriting and I’m so grateful that I got the opportunity to take part in Suburban Sounds during my secondary school years.”

Lisa's second single of 2026, 'The One', will be released on the 5th June. The track was produced by Irish producer and long time collaborator Sam Stevenson.

"The One' was a really fun song to write. I knew as soon as I finished writing it that I wanted this song to be the type of song you'd blare in the car on a sunny day with the windows down. I like to think of this song as a follow on from my previous single 'Another Goodbye'. It's really about taking the next step in moving on and trying to navigate falling for someone new. The lyrics still weave through those doubts that come with starting over that I explored in 'Another Goodbye' but with a more upbeat twist this time. It's like my version of 'he loves me, he loves me not.'"   - Lisa Keane
