Zac Efron has been cast as one of the most notorious serial killers of our time. He is set to play Ted Bundy in upcoming psychological thriller Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
The film will reportedly be told from the perspective of Bundy's long term girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer who assisted in his conviction after suspecting him for years.
Bundy assaulted and murdered a number of young women in the 1970s using his charisma and charm to lure them in. Before his execution he admitted to 30 homicides but many expect the number to be higher.
Zac Efron has been focusing on comedies in recent years so this role will be a new challenge for the Baywatch actor. The film is due to start production this October.
