The Letter For The King
Plan B's Sarina Bellissimo recently caught up with the cast of Netflix's The Letter For The King.
It follows the story of a young boy who embarks on a quest to deliver a secret message.
And by doing so, he holds the fate of the kingdom in his hands.
Sarina chats to stars of the show Ruby Ashbourne Serkis, Thaddea Graham and Amir Wilson.
Ruby plays Lavinia, Thaddea plays Iona and Amir plays Tiuri in The Letter For The King.
The show is set in a very different time so Sarina asks what were their initial thoughts after reading the script.
Ruby admits, "You know the times are very different from today - in that way it's a great escape."
She reveals she was completely immersed in the script when it first landed on her lap.
Ruby's co-star Amir points out that there is some similarity between the period of time in the show and the present day.
He says, "You get to see young people stepping forward to like change the world and you see that nowadays as well."
Bagging the role
Sarina asks the three actors about the moment they found out they had bagged a role in the series.
Thaddea says she wanted the role so badly that when her manager told her she had got it, she genuinely didn't believe her.
Meanwhile, Amir reveals he found out when he was on holidays with his family, "It was the best holiday of my life."
Sarina also chatted to Gijs Blom over Skype - he plays Prince Viridian in the show.
Gijs reveals he found out he got the role a week after sending in his audition tape.
He admits he spent the week, "Completely unfocused." Every time his phone went off, he got a fright.
He says when he finally found out he got the part, he was so excited.
Gijs reveals, "My girlfriend was upstairs and I just ran to her and I screamed and yeah it was just a very happy moment."
Two weeks later, his bags were packed and he was heading off to New Zealand to film the show.
Meanwhile, Sarina caught up with Jonas Blue last week to chat about his music.

The Letter For The King drops on Netflix tomorrow.
