Filming on Mission: Impossible 7 has been put on hold due to positive covid tests within the crew.

It comes months after that controversial rant from Tom Cruise about respecting the guidelines.

Paramount released a statement confirming the news.

As quoted by BBC News, they said, 'We have temporarily halted production on Mission: Impossible 7 until 14 June, due to positive coronavirus test results during routine testing.'

'We are following all safety protocols and will continue to monitor the situation.'

It's unclear how many people tested positive for coronavirus.

This news comes months after Tom Cruise went viral for yelling at staff and crew for disrespecting health and safety protocols on set.

An audio clip divided the internet with some backing Tom, and others criticising his actions.

In the recording, he yelled, "I’m on the phone with every fu**ing studio at night, insurance companies, producers and they’re looking at us and using us to make their movies."
