If like many of us here in Spin, you spent the weekend binge-watching Mindhunter on Netflix, you're going to love the next few lines.

David Fincher has been talking about the show in terms of 'next year' and has shone some light on which cases they're keen to explore.

We shouldn't lose the run of ourselves just yet - Netflix have yet to officially confirm that season two is going ahead, however, with the sucess of the show and Fincher's plans in mind, it would be a shame if there wasn't more!

Fincher spoke to Billboard about the show's music saying, 'Next year we're looking at the Atlanta child murders, so we'll have a lot more African-American music which will be nice.' He added that 'The music will evolve. It's intended to support what's happening with the show and for the show to evolve radically between seasons.'

The Atlanta child muders took place during 1979 and 1981. It saw at least 28 African-American children, teens and adults murdered. Wayne Williams was arrested and convicted of murdering two adults.

The series is based on the book Mind Hunter: Inside FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit.

All episodes of Mindhunter season one are available to stream on Netflix now.
