*SPOILERS AHEAD*
Last nights Halloween Special of Modern Family saw one person killed off the show.
They've been teasing this for quite some time now and we've been itching to know who it is.
Brace yourselves... it was Shelley Long's character, DeDe Pritchett who was the mother to Claire and Mitchell and ex-wife of Jay.

We didn't find out how she died until the end of the episode. It's a bit of a mad one...
DeDe made friends with a pack of wolves and was later saved by one of them after falling through ice.
She then offended a tribe of Inuits and was later briefly swallowed by a whale.
She died peacefully in her sleep with a smile on her face. Claire said, "That is so mom," and the episode ended.

Look, we're not saying we're happy they killed off DeDe but we're kinda chuffed it wasn't one of the main characters...
