It has been confirmed Jack Whitehall will front The Graham Norton Show while Norton is away.

Graham hosts the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv this month, marking the first time in 20 years he'll miss presenting his chat show.

Whitehall says stepping in on May 17th fills him with fear and excitement "in equal measure."

The guests that will be on the famous red couch the night Whitehall is in the hot-seat will include Game Of Throne star Gwendoline Christie, Beauty and the Beast actor Luke Evans, and music on the night will come from Paloma Faith.

"I was so honoured Graham asked me to do this from him", the 30 year old said.

"The thought of stepping into his huge showbiz boots fills me in equal measure with fear and excitement."

"Worst case, I will make everyone appreciate just how lucky we are to have him."

Norton - who commentates on the Eurovision for the BBC - is more than confident that Whitehall will perform on the big stage.

"I'm thrilled to know that I am leaving the show in Jack's capable hands - he is bound to do an amazing job."

"I should warn him not to get too comfortable in my chair though, because like a slightly fey terminator, I'll be back."
