HBO’s “Harry Potter” series has found its new Harry, Ron and Hermione!
Dominic McLaughlin is set to play Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton will play Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout will play Ron Weasley in the highly anticipated series.
More than 30,000 actors auditioned for the lead roles after HBO launched an open casting call last Autumn.

Francesca Gardiner (showrunner, executive producer) and Mark Mylod (director of multiple episodes, executive producer) spoke of the casting: "After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron."
"The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen," they said.
"We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It’s been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there."

The trio will join John Lithgow as Professor Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Professor McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Professor Snape, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch and Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell.
Filming is set to begin this summer.
