It's early days yet so we've no release date, but we do know filming begins this spring.

All of the main characters will be returning.

That means more from Otis, Maeve, Jean, Eric, Aimee, Jackson and Adam.

Fingers crossed we'll see Eric and Adam reunite and Otis and Maeve finally admit their feelings.

Plot

Season 1 left a lot of loose ends to be wrapped up.

Adam's parents carted him off to military school while Eric looked on heartbroken.

Maeve's brother Sean disappeared again and a tribunal deferred their decision to let her remain at school following a drugs bust.

If that wasn't bad enough, just as she decided to confess her love for Otis he kissed Ola in front of her.

Emma Mackey, the actress who plays Maeve, told Cosmopolitan UK what she thinks is in store.

"I think Maeve needs to focus on her friendship with Aimee and on her relationship with herself, and self-care and looking after herself. And Otis needs to learn as well, he's not ready for a relationship."

"I think he and Ola [Patricia Allison] are a good fit for now, so we'll see."

Ncuti Gatwa who plays Eric added, "I'm really fascinated to see what happens with Eric next what is he going to get up to next."

Trailer

The full trailer isn't out yet however, a clip announcing season 2 was shared on Twitter.

Maeve, Eric, Adam, Jackson, Ola, Aimee, Lily and Otis appear.

The caption read, 'sex education season 2 is coming, in every sense of the word'

What else do I need to know?

According to Variety, Season 2 will also have 8 episodes.
