Despite the drama at the VMAs last night, all of it was parked for a moment while Pink accepted the most prestigious award at the ceremony.
Pink was awarded the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and gave a speech that will certainly go down in VMA history.
She gave a speech about her six year old daughter, Willow Hart. Pink recalled how she had to make a powerpoint presentation for Willow, after she called herself 'the ugliest girl I know.' Featuring in in the presentation were 'androgynous rock stars' like David Bowie, Prince, Annie Lennox and Michael Jackson himself.
Pink said 'We help other people to change so they can see more kinds of beauty.'
