Mission Impossible 2 star Thandiwe Newton has called Sean Penn a, 'gibbering fool,' for his controversial comments about gender.
He shared his belief in a recent interview that men have become, 'quite feminised' - something he clearly detests.
Sean made headlines after recently sharing his belief that, 'men in American culture have become wildly feminised.'
He told i news, 'I don’t think that [in order] to be fair to women, we should become them.'
When asked in an interview with the Independent to elaborate, he reiterated, 'I think that men have, in my view, become quite feminised.'
The Mystic River star continued, 'I have these very strong women in my life who do not take masculinity as a sign of oppression toward them.'
'There are a lot of, I think, cowardly genes that lead to people surrendering their jeans and putting on a skirt.'
Sean did the interview with his daughter Dylan by his side as they promoted their new movie Flag Day.
And according to the Independent, she remained quiet, 'staring into space,' as her father spoke.

After seeing an article from Variety about the interview, Thandiwe had a few things she wanted to say.
